Your Impact: The role Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for providing support and review for all activities related to hosted Applications on Cloud. This individual must understand thoroughly of current design with hands-on technical experience. This role will also help support development of innovative solutions in cloud and infrastructure technologies. You are great at: Collaborate with teams from Product Development, Professional Services and Customer Support teams to Deploy Services / Applications. Be an expert on Datacenter migration of Applications/Services, and Disaster Recovery Planning& execution. Work on Post Implementation Review process for bugs, fixes, and issues encountered in active production instances. Actively support production incidents, problems, and on root cause analysis. Provide feedback with Engineering and Professional Services teams to make services stable and resilient. Develop/enhance OpenText Automated Deployment strategy Knowledge on integration points of hosted Applications and related implementation expert for CloudOps Work with 3rd party vendors and their support organizations for any impact to OT hosted solutions Ability to prioritize work to ensure timely project deliveries. Available to work on weekends to scheduled maintenance activities and Deployments. On rotation monthly 24x7 on call support What it takes: Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or related Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in Cloud Applications and Platforms. Expertise in Devops, GCP, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, exp in Java env, Automation Ansible/Chef/Puppet. etc., On-call support Install, upgrade and managing platform clouds such as Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes. Platform architecture and design Able to automate tasks with Python, Go or Shell-script. Devops skills like Terraform, concourse, Gitlab Maintaining the platform with High availability Terraform an IAAC to create Kubernetes clusters in GKE BOSH to deploy cloud foundry platform on Infrastructure Expertise in analyzing Application containers performance, reviewing JVM Settings& thread dumps. Familiar with Container based Application Deployments and DevOps tools. Experience in Dockers and Kubernetes based deployments. Work experience on public cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS. Your Impact: The role Cloud Application Engineer is to build& Support solutions to enhance availability, performance, and stability of OpenText services as well as automating away repetitive work. You'll also respond to pings, pages, and alerts to investigate issues in our products that you can really sink your teeth into. You'll be working on non-production and production environments, monitoring, data collection and configuration management, as well as disaster recovery planning, capacity engineering, reliability improvement initiatives and platform automation. Your mission will be to use cutting edge technology for monitoring and maintaining the day to day operations of the entire production infrastructure for OpenText Discovery on our AWS/GCP platform. The best person for this role is someone that has a collaborative spirit - in our world, it’s not about being a hero and having all the answers, it’s about sometimes saying "I don't know" and working on finding solutions rather than starting with an assumption. The team needs someone who can ask questions, learn from others and turn chaos into order. This role is currently focusing on our Operations Center covering all our solutions by monitoring, taking proactive actions based on prescribed event action plans, and working with deployments and other maintenance activities. The role will lead into additional levels of the Cloud Application Engineer doing problem solving and trouble-shooting of the various solutions. What the role offers: Take ownership and accountability for the incident resolution process and SLAs. Responsible for infrastructure setup, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and operations across multiple environments. Plan and perform on-going application enhancement and maintenance. Act as a technical liaison with other teams to evaluate and report bugs. Ability to prioritize work to ensure timely project deliveries.. Responsible for problem management process and to identify the root cause of issues. What you need to succeed: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or related Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Cloud Applications and Platforms. Knowledge of Linux and of Java applications support. Devops skills like Terraform, Gitlab, CI/CD Terraform an IAAC to create kubernetes clusters in GKE BOSH to deploy cloud foundry platform on Infrastructure Experience in Dockers and Kubernetes based deployments. Work experience on public cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS. Familiarity with LoadBalancers/F5, Firewalls, SMTP, DNS Services, Networking protocols. Developing and maintaining detailed documentation of work Excellent communication and people skills Strong analytical and problem-solving techniques Experience on monitoring tools such as JIRA, HP OM, New Relic, Dynatrace Zabbix, etc. Understanding of ITIL processes Knowledge of middleware/webserver, preferably: Tomcat, Apache, JBOSS (in the order of listing). Knowledge of Scripting in Shell, python, etc... (at least proficiency in one). Knowledge of tools like ELK or Graylog or Splunk used for centralized logging.
