OpenShift Administrator

As an OpenShift Administrator at Willware Technologies, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining OpenShift environments to ensure robust and scalable container orchestration. Your role will involve ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of OpenShift clusters throughout the software lifecycle. Monitoring and optimizing cluster performance and resource utilization will be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. You will need to have hands-on experience managing ODF (OpenShift Data Foundation) with Ceph storage and implementing security best practices, RBAC policies, and compliance measures within the cluster. Troubleshooting and resolving issues within the OpenShift ecosystem, covering nodes, pods, services, and storage, will also be part of your day-to-day tasks. Working closely with development and DevOps teams to support seamless application deployment and continuous delivery pipelines is essential. Maintaining up-to-date documentation and providing training/support to internal teams as required will also be expected from you. Additionally, conducting and validating backups, disaster recovery drills, and cluster restoration activities will be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should have 4 to 12+ years of experience in Kubernetes/OpenShift administration and possess deep knowledge of containerization technologies, specifically Docker. Experience with CI/CD tools, a strong understanding of networking and security concepts in container environments, and proven expertise in troubleshooting and debugging large-scale distributed systems are must-have skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong documentation mindset will also be crucial for success in this position.
