Job Title: Analyst-LCA Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced LCA Analyst to join our team on an immediate basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Life Cycle Assessment methodologies, tools, and data interpretation, with hands-on experience in at least two LCA projects related to process-based industries (e.g., chemicals, manufacturing, energy, etc.). The candidate should be proficient in using LCA software and capable of delivering high-quality environmental impact assessments. Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for process-based industries, including data collection, modeling, and interpretation. 2. Perform inventory analysis by gathering data on raw materials, energy use, emissions, and waste. 3. Use LCA software (e.g., SimaPro, OpenLCA, GaBi) to model and analyze environmental impacts. 4. Interpret LCA results and prepare comprehensive reports with actionable insights. 5. Ensure compliance with relevant LCA standards (ISO 14040/44) and industry regulations. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations. 6. Identify opportunities for process optimization and sustainability improvements based on LCA insights. Requirements: 1. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field. 2. Minimum 2 LCA projects completed in process-based industries. (e.g., chemicals, manufacturing, energy, etc.) 3. Proficiency in LCA software tools (e.g., SimaPro, GaBi, OpenLCA). 4. Responsibilities Support the development and implementation of CO2 calculation (PCF, Scope 3) ac-cording to the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064 / 14067 Support the automation of CO2 calculation, database structure and other related digi-talization projects Preparation and coordination of CO2 reporting based on recognized standards at prouct and project level Support the development and implementation of the sustainability strategy Research activities on sustainability management and reporting topics Preparation of presentations of results and recommendations for action Conduct thorough root cause analyses and deep dives into large datasets to identify un-derlying trends and issues Desired Candidate Profile Experience: 1-4 years Completed university degree, preferably in the field of sustainability / technology / economics / scientific diploma or a comparable degree with a focus on CO2 calculation and accounting Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics Hands-on experience in handling large amount of data Sound knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) calculation software (OpenLCA, LCA for Experts, SimaPro, SAP, others) Excellent MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) skills, SAP, Power BI, Tableau and others are an advantage Knowledge and experience in GHG protocol, ISO 46067 and similar Experience in the automation of PCF/LCA calculations Responsible, independent working style as well as pragmatic thinking and acting, team communication.
