We are Hiring VMware Administrator for us in our Chennai Location (Near by Anna Salai).

Note: Candidate with VMware Load Balancer experience are preferred.

Job role : VM Engineer - L2.

Job Location: Chennai

Pay Roll Type : Direct Pay roll (Permeant Job)

• Manage day-to-day operations of the VMware NSX-T environment including configuration of Distributed Firewall on a 24x7x365 basis.
• Configure and

  maintain VMware Advanced Load Balancer to support the Bank's cloud infrastructure

  .
• Configure and maintain firewall rules using tools like vRealize Network Insight and NSX-T, adhering to industry best practices.
• Provide technical support to application teams via direct interaction, phone, email, and ticketing systems. Generate and deliver automated infrastructure data and capacity dashboards to optimize application performance and onboarding.
• Proactively monitor and troubleshoot issues across virtualization, storage, and network layers.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including SOPs, user manuals, and runbooks.
• Collaborate with the Banks IT team for Incident, Change, and Problem Management following established processes.
• Perform regular backup of NSX configurations and ensure backups are up-to-date.
• Replicate NSX configurations and firewall rules at the DR site, ensuring synchronization between primary and disaster recovery environments.
• Generate capacity reports and provide insights and recommendations using vRealize Operations and custom dashboards.
• Manage patching and ensure timely updates of the NSX environment.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, following a Maker-Checker model and OEM design best practices.
• Liaise with VMware and other OEMs for network integration and support for cloud deployments in compliance with Bank's Infosec guidelines.
• Recommend process improvements and efficiencies.
• Communicate status and escalate major incidents, changes, or service requests to senior management as required.
• Install, configure, manage, and upgrade VMware NSX to the latest supported version per OEM and Bank requirements.
• Support the Bank's security standards, best practices, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Assist in resolving Audit observations and ensure timely closure in coordination with Bank teams.
• Develop and maintain capacity management metrics and reporting to support Cloud platform scalability.
• Ensure all upgrades follow OEM-recommended practices with zero downtime to running applications.
• Engage with OEM support teams during planning and post-upgrade validation.
• Deploy and manage Network Performance and Visibility solutions in tandem with VMware NSX, as and when procured.
