Job Description

Your Role and Responsibilities As a Firmware Developer in the IBM India Systems Development Lab (ISDL), you will be responsible for: Designing and developing components and features independently within the IBM India Systems Development Lab. Being a part of the worldwide Firmware development organization. Being involved in designing and developing cutting-edge features on the OpenBMC stack for next-generation enterprise Power servers. Required Education Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education Master's Degree Required Technical and Professional Expertise 2-10 years of relevant industry experience. Proficient in Modern C++, STL, Design patterns, and Data structures. Hands-on experience working on Linux flavors and strong OS fundamentals. Experience with Open-source tools & Scripting languages: Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Perl/Python, Bitbake. Excellent debug and problem determination skills. You should be a self-starter, team player, and flexible to work in an agile fashion collaborating with global teams. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience OpenBMC development experience. Hands-on knowledge in any of the following areas is desirable: Server Management protocols (Redfish, REST, HTTP). Working with Device trees & writing Hardware Abstraction Layer wrappers for HW protocols (I2C/SPI/GPIO etc). Networking domain (Socket programming/SSL/Certificates/Linux Firewalls). Exposure/Experience on C++17 & C++20 is greatly desired. Experience with Hardware bring-up will be an added plus.
