For more details, visit our website Position: Senior Student Counsellor Location: Kottayam Job Type: Full-Time Experience: Minimum 3 years in student counselling, with a focus on Registered Nursing programs for the UK, New Zealand, Ireland, and Australia. Job Overview: The Senior Student Counsellor will play a crucial role in guiding students through the study abroad process, from selecting suitable programs and universities to assisting with the application and visa process. This role requires deep knowledge of international education systems, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to mentor junior counsellors. Key Responsibilities: Student Counselling: Provide one-on-one counselling to students and their families to understand their educational goals and preferences. Assist students in selecting appropriate courses, universities, and countries based on their academic background, career aspirations, and financial capacity. Guide students through the application process, including filling out forms, writing personal statements, and preparing for interviews. Advise students on scholarship opportunities and financial aid options. Application & Documentation: Ensure timely submission of accurate applications to universities and other institutions. Assist students in preparing and organizing necessary documentation for admissions and visa applications. Follow up with students and institutions on the status of applications and other related matters. Market Research & Knowledge Management: Stay updated with the latest information on international education, including changes in admission requirements, visa regulations, and scholarship opportunities. Share insights and trends with the team and contribute to the development of counselling strategies. Mentorship & Team Collaboration: Mentor junior counsellors and assist in their professional development. Collaborate with the marketing and digital teams to create content and resources that support student outreach efforts. Attend educational fairs, seminars, and webinars to represent the company and engage with potential students. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, educational institutions, and other stakeholders. Manage and resolve any issues or concerns raised by students or parents in a professional and timely manner. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counselling, International Relations, or any related field. 3+ years of experience in study abroad counselling or educational consulting. In-depth knowledge of international education systems, university admission processes, and visa regulations. Proven track record of successfully guiding students through the study abroad process. Knowledge of Registered Nursing programs and admission requirements for the UK, New Zealand, Ireland, and Australia would be added advantage. Knowledge of English language testing requirements (IELTS/OET) and healthcare registration processes in the target countries. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant technology. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex student cases. Preferred Attributes: Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Multilingual abilities are a plus. Passion for education and helping students achieve their academic goals.
