JD for Tech Lead: Job Title: Splunk Technical Lead Location: Bangalore, India Mode of Work: Work from Office Shift: Rotational Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Splunk Technical Lead to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. As a Splunk Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers to implement and maintain Splunk solutions for our clients. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing Splunk environments while ensuring effective monitoring and troubleshooting. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring both technical expertise and the ability to guide and mentor team members. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development, configuration, and deployment of Splunk solutions for monitoring and analyzing data across the organization. Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud. Design, implement, and optimize Splunk searches, dashboards, alerts, and reports to support business operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure the effective integration of Splunk with other tools and systems. Manage and mentor a team of Splunk engineers, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and capabilities. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in Splunk environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in Splunk technologies and security. Implement Splunk-based solutions for security monitoring, data analysis, and log aggregation. Ensure adherence to industry standards, security policies, and best practices for Splunk configuration and data handling. Prepare and present detailed technical documentation, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders. Participate in capacity planning, system scaling, and performance tuning activities. Required Skills and Qualifications: Any Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6+ years of hands-on experience in Splunk implementation, configuration, and administration. Strong expertise in Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL), dashboard creation, and advanced reporting. Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) and IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) is a plus. Proficient in data ingestion, data normalization, and integrating external data sources with Splunk. In-depth knowledge of Splunk architecture, cluster management, and scaling. Experience in managing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed Splunk environments. Strong understanding of log management, monitoring, and data analytics concepts. Ability to manage and lead a team effectively, with a strong focus on mentoring and coaching. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with ITIL processes and security best practices. Preferred Qualifications: Splunk Certified Admin or Splunk Certified Architect certification. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) to automate tasks and enhance Splunk functionality. Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role within a technical team.
