Mandate Skills - SQL DBA, T-SQL, Azure SQL, Always ON, Clustering, Log Shipping/Monitoring , SQL server version experience On-Premises Migration in SQL DBA Distributed Availability Groups to Migrate SQL Server Databases Lead SQL Server Database Analyst Required Skills for Backfill (x2 CONFIRMED ) Lead-level SQL Server Database Analyst with 10+ years of experience, including responsibility for guiding engineering direction and decision-making in complex enterprise environments Deep expertise in SQL Server performance engineering, including query optimization, index tuning, and execution plan analysis, with a focus beyond routine administrative tasks Proven track record of leading high availability architecture design and support, including Always-On Availability Groups and Distributed Availability Groups (DAGs), with automatic seeding, multi-site replication, and read-scale capabilities Strong T-SQL development capabilities, including design and optimization of stored procedures, functions, indexing strategies, and query refactoring for performance Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade monitoring and capacity planning tools (e.g., SQLSentry, Redgate, or similar) Demonstrated ability to collaborate across development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve complex issues and drive long-term performance improvements Active contributor to cloud modernization efforts, with experience in Azure SQL (IaaS and PaaS) design, implementation, and workload migration Proficient in Azure SQL PaaS, including elastic pools, serverless compute, performance tier selection, scaling, failover groups, and security integration Proficient in scripting and automation using PowerShell, SQL Agent, and custom utilities to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks, including TDE, auditing, access control, and regulatory compliance support Demonstrated leadership as a technical mentor, project lead, and architecture contributor, with the ability to influence cross-team technical direction Based in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone (preferred: New Jersey, Louisville, or Atlanta) and available to work standard business hours Company Name: VARITE INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED About The Client: A global IT services and consulting company, multinational information technology (IT), headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
