About the Position: We are looking for scientists with a background in genetics, molecular biology, oncology or related areas with some exposure to omics data (genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics etc). The role involves: Curating omics data and associated metadata to create well harmonized datasets for analysis Providing biological interpretation for results from the analysis of omics data Reading scientific papers, critically assessing results and summarizing them. Job Requirements and Required Skills: MSc/MTech/BTech in biological science with a good academic record (in the range of 80% or above score). 1-5 years of experience in the field of interpretation and reporting NGS data and curation of biological science-based data. Good knowledge of genetics, molecular biology, usage of clinical databases, scoping and understanding of scientific literature. Having good exposure to molecular biology from recognized places (e.g. BITS Pilani, CCMB, IISc, IIT, NCBS or any other nationally or internationally recognized university/institute). Good scientific writing skill (reports and/or manuscripts). What you'll bring: - Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (with a quantitative focus such as Biology, Physics, Business, Analytics) with strong academic performance. - 3-4 years of relevant job experience; prior experience in Data Strategy/management and Life Science, working with consultancy firms, life science companies, or healthcare data providers preferred. - Knowledge of healthcare data and experience of its practical applications (e.g., patient-level EMR, claims, omics, data and experience with RWD/RWE projects or omics data) preferred. - Ability to translate unstructured problems into actionable requirements and approaches. - Self-starter, with high motivation, maturity, and personal initiative. - Strong oral and written communication skills. - Empathy, adaptability, and customer service orientation. - Self-discipline for planning and organizing tasks, and delivering in an unstructured environment. - Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities, in a fast-paced context. Job Title: Bioinformatician Job Location: Bangalore Experience: 1-4 years Core Purpose of the Role To support data-driven biological research by performing computational analysis of omics data, and generating translational insights through bioinformatics tools and pipelines. Position Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive analyses of multi-omics datasets, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and epigenomics. Develop computational workflows to integrate various -omics data to generate inference and hypotheses for testing. Conduct differential expression and functional enrichment analyses. Implement and execute data processing workflows and automate the pipelines with best practices for version control, modularization, and documentation. Apply advanced multivariate data analysis techniques, including regression, clustering, and dimensionality reduction, to uncover patterns and relationships in large datasets. Collaborate with researchers, scientists, and other team members to translate computational findings into actionable biological insights. Educational Qualifications: Masters degree in bioinformatics. Technical Skills Mandatory: Programming: Proficiency in Python for data analysis, visualization, and pipeline development. Multi-omics analysis: Proven experience in analyzing and integrating multi-omics datasets. Statistics: Knowledge of probability distributions, correlation analysis, and hypothesis testing.
