As a Senior Process Engineer at KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS), you will play a crucial role in a wide variety of process engineering activities. Your main responsibility will be to assist the lead process engineer in meeting project schedule and quality requirements. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - Develop Process Design Basis and Design Philosophies based on the scope of work. - Review and perform Process Simulations, guiding Process Engineers as necessary, and develop Heat & Mass Balances. - Create PFDs, PSFDs, P&IDs, C&EDs, and Safe Charts. - Conduct routine process calculations (hydraulics and sizing) using process software and in-house spreadsheets. - Design process control configurations, ESD systems, and various equipment such as separators, pumps, compressors, and gas treatment units. - Engineer facilities involving Fired Heaters, Heat Exchangers, and Columns. - Design systems including Steam, Instrument air, Plant air, Nitrogen, Fuel gas/oil, Water (Cooling water, Chilled water, Potable water treatments, DM water, Wastewater). - Develop utility balance, UFD, and summary for all utilities of a process plant. - Understand Compressor hydraulics and perform relief valve and flare load calculations. - Knowledge in offsites including tank farm, boilers, and power generation. - Evaluate vendor offers, prepare technical bid analysis, and review vendor packages. - Familiarity with safety studies like HAZOP, HAZID, SIL. - Understanding of Pre-commissioning/Commissioning/Operations is beneficial. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering with 10 to 15 years of experience. - Proficiency in process engineering software such as HYSYS and Flarenet. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, refinery, Offshore, and Utilities & Offsites industries. - Willingness to travel for work within KBR offices. - Experience in FEED/Detail Engineering stages of the project.
