As an Offshore Structural Engineer at KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS), you will be a key member of our engineering team, specializing in offshore structural and piping design. Your role will involve developing and modifying 3D models and 2D drawings for offshore structures and piping systems, interpreting engineering specifications and layout drawings, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration. You will be responsible for performing clash detection, resolving interface issues using industry-standard software such as S3D and E3D, and generating fabrication and construction drawings with high accuracy. Compliance with project standards, codes, and client requirements will be a crucial aspect of your work, along with participating in design reviews and providing technical input throughout the design lifecycle. To excel in this role, you should hold a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering, with 5 to 20 years of relevant experience in offshore design projects. Proficiency in S3D and/or E3D, as well as a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation, will be essential. Familiarity with offshore codes and standards such as API, DNV, and ISO is required, along with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Preferred qualifications include experience in FPSO, platform Top Side, Jacket, or subsea projects, knowledge of PDMS or other 3D design tools, and exposure to fabrication yard or offshore construction environments.
