Job Description

The Testing Analyst 2 is a developing professional role that involves applying specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing, and evaluating processes and data. As a Testing Analyst, your responsibilities include supporting initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production. You will work closely with technology project managers, UAT professionals, and users to design and implement appropriate scripts/plans for an application testing strategy/approach. Your role also includes conducting software quality assurance testing and a variety of quality control user acceptance tests to ensure that applications meet or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements. You will be responsible for creating test scripts, executing them according to application requirements documentation, logging defects, and retesting software corrections to ensure problems are resolved. Additionally, you will document the evolution of testing cases scripts for future replication and contribute to the development of test plans. As a Testing Analyst, you will need to have a good understanding of procedures and concepts within your technical area and a basic knowledge of these elements in other areas. You are required to make evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information, resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience, and have a limited but direct impact on the team and closely related teams through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Qualifications for this role include 2-5 years of relevant testing experience preferred, basic knowledge of relationship databases, knowledge of applications supporting the testing process, demonstrated analytical skills, ability to work independently on assigned tasks, and experience in software application testing. A Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience is required for this position. In this role, you will need to appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrate particular consideration for the firm's reputation, and safeguard Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. You are expected to adhere to Policy, apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency. Your ability to exchange ideas and information in a concise and logical way, recognizing audience diversity, will be crucial for success in this role.
