Job Description

The KYC (Know Your Customer) Intern will assist the Compliance and Risk Management teams in ensuring that the organization adheres to the regulatory requirements and guidelines related to KYC procedures. This internship offers valuable exposure to financial regulations, customer due diligence (CDD), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance practices. The KYC Intern will work closely with team members to review customer documentation, support data entry, and contribute to the improvement of internal processes.

Job Summary:The KYC Appraiser plays a vital role in the KYC Centralised Review Centre, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigating risks associated with money laundering, terrorist financing, other financial crime. They are responsible for conducting thorough due diligence on customers by verifying their identities, assessing their risk profiles, and scrutinizing their transactional activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed reviews of customer profiles to verify their identities, assess their risk levels, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Analyse and authenticate customer-provided documentation such as identification, residency proof, business licenses, and financial statements.

Ensure validation of OVD from the source data is completed through DKYC

Ensure completion of the customer screening from the various sanction list and evaluate the result and in case of positive hits such cases are addressed and required approvals are in place for the considered KYCs.

Escalation of non-compliances with the branches/ customer for the rectifications with in the TAT

To address with the various stake holders such as RO/ZO/Audit/ Compliance officer/ Risk Team in cases of TAT deviations and ensure such KYCs are restricted from further transactions.

Ensure the periodic renewal of KYC are being done based on the Customer Risk Rating.

Monitor customer transactions for any suspicious or unusual activities that may indicate potential money laundering, fraud, or other illicit behaviours.

Prepare and submit and MIS, detailing the results of KYC reviews, any identified risks, and remediation actions taken.

Qualifications and Skills:

Any bachelor degree with 0 - 6 months of experience in KYC/CDD roles within the banking, financial services.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify potential risks.

Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
