Job Description

Job Title - MIS Executive - Logistics

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics performance reports.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards for freight costs, shipment tracking, D&D impacts, Vessel Rollovers, etc.
  • Generate reports using Excel, Power BI, or other reporting tools.
  • Ensure timely and accurate distribution of MIS reports to stakeholders.

Data Analysis

  • Analyze logistics and transportation data to identify trends/hot spots, exceptions, and improvement opportunities.
  • Track KPIs such as:
    • On-Time Delivery (OTD)
    • Contract compliance, Spot Trends
    • Carrier Performance
    • Ocean lead time to markets

  • Support root-cause analysis for logistics service constraints.

Logistics Operations Support

  • Monitor shipment status and update logistics performance trackers.
  • Support freight procurement and transportation teams with data-driven insights.
  • Maintain logistics master data including rates, transit times, carriers, and warehouses.
  • Assist in capacity planning and network optimization exercises.

Data Quality & Governance

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of logistics databases and reports.
  • Validate data received from warehouses, transporters, freight forwarders, and ERP systems.
  • Maintain standard reporting templates and documentation.

Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with Customer Service, Planning, Procurement, Finance, and Logistics teams for reporting requirements.
  • Sharing reports on daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis.
  • Support management with ad hoc analysis and presentations.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate with good proficiency in Excel and other MIS related platforms like Power Bi, etc.

Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in Logistics MIS, Supply Chain Analytics, Transportation Analytics, or similar roles.
  • Experience in FMCG, Manufacturing, Retail, 3PL, or Shipping industries preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
    • Pivot Tables
    • Power Query
    • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
    • Macros (preferred)

  • Power BI / Tableau
  • ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.)
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills
