As a Senior Development Engineer, youll play a key role in designing and developing robust PHP applications and scalable backend systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and be part of projects that serve millions of users. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable PHP applications using Laravel and/or CakePHP Build and consume RESTful APIs for internal and third-party system integrations Optimize MySQL queries and database structures Modernize legacy systems into modular, scalable codebases Leverage Docker for containerized development and deployment Participate in code reviews and enforce secure coding practices Develop customer portals and integrate with billing systems like WHMCS Write unit and integration tests Document architecture and contribute to coding standards Automate development workflows and CI/CD pipelines Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and QA teams Requirements 5+ years of PHP development experience Proficient in Laravel and/or CakePHP Strong MySQL skills, including schema design and performance optimization Experience building and integrating REST APIs Working knowledge of Docker Familiarity with version control (Git) Experience with CI/CD, testing automation, and secure development practices Exposure to RabbitMQ , Redis , and workflow automation Preferred/Bonus Skills Familiarity with WHMCS , ConnectWise , Zabbix , Observium , or LibreNMS Experience in MSP or SaaS environments Knowledge of security best practices in web development Experience with Agile methodologies and container orchestration Your Mindset Tech-savvy and curious – always exploring new technologies Agile and adaptable in fast-changing environments Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Passionate about coding, problem-solving, and innovation
