You will be working full-time in a hybrid work style, where you will be required to be present in the office for 3 days a week at Office No: 403-405, Time Square, CG Road, Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad, Gujarat-380006. You must be willing to relocate to Ahmedabad with reasonable notice, as immediate or reasonable joiners are preferred. As a backend developer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining robust, secure, and high-performance backend services using Node.js and TypeScript. You will build and document RESTful APIs using OpenAPI, ensuring validation, monitoring, and logging are integrated. Leading the development and management of CI/CD pipelines will be essential for automated builds, tests, and deployments. You will also need to package and deploy applications using Docker and Docker Compose to maintain environment consistency and isolation. Collaborating with the infrastructure team, you will configure reverse proxies like NGINX/Traefik, domain routing, and SSL certificates. Designing secure authentication flows using OAuth2/OpenID Connect with enterprise SSO, and managing role-based permissions through JWT decoding will be part of your responsibilities. Creating and maintaining operational documentation, deployment runbooks, and service diagrams is crucial. Monitoring systems using Grafana/Datadog, optimizing performance, managing alerts, and structured logs are key tasks you will undertake. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or have equivalent experience. A minimum of 2 years of backend development experience with Node.js and related tools/frameworks is required. Solid understanding of REST principles, the HTTP protocol, and secure token-based auth (JWT, OAuth2) is essential. Experience deploying and managing services with Docker and GitLab CI/CD, configuring and troubleshooting Linux-based environments, and familiarity with reverse proxies and custom routing using NGINX or Traefik are also necessary. Bonus skills include experience with Active Directory group-based authorization, familiarity with terminal-based or legacy enterprise platforms, proficiency with audit logging systems, structured log formatting, and Sentry integration, and exposure to security best practices in authentication, authorization, and reverse proxy configurations. The ideal candidate will be obsessed with automation, consistency, and secure environments, an independent problem-solver who takes ownership of both code and environment health, detail-oriented, and performance-conscious. A collaborative communicator who can bridge the backend, DevOps, and infrastructure teams, proactively modernize existing systems without compromising stability. The educational background preferred is a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science, while alternative acceptable backgrounds include BS/MS in Computer Science. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
