As a Powertrain NVH Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and evaluating powertrain components such as engine, transmission, and motor to ensure optimal Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) performance. Your role will involve conducting root cause analysis to identify and solve NVH issues, as well as developing countermeasures to achieve target NVH levels. You will play a key role in setting NVH level targets for powertrain components at both vehicle and bench levels. Your responsibilities will include evaluating powertrain NVH performance, executing advanced projects for NVH improvement, and conducting experimental investigations such as Modal Analysis and Sound Quality Analysis. In addition, you will be required to summarize findings, objectively evaluate the effectiveness of countermeasures, and track future powertrain technology trends. Your role will also involve conducting customer preference studies and correlating the results with objective metrics to ensure customer satisfaction with in-cabin noise levels. To succeed in this role, you should have relevant work experience in vehicle, engine, transmission, or electrical systems. A basic understanding of NVH characteristics of powertrain components and subsystems, as well as knowledge of new model design and development, will be essential. A valid driving license with a satisfactory driving record, along with subjective NV evaluation and noise phenomenon feeling skills, are also required. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks. Strong technical competencies in NVH evaluation and a passion for ensuring high-quality NVH performance in powertrain systems are crucial for success in this role.,
