About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Nuxeo Consultant/Developer to design and implement a comprehensive content management and compliance solution. This role requires deep expertise in Nuxeo's capabilities to deliver a robust digital asset management system with advanced workflow automation, audit trail functionality, and regulatory compliance features.Requirements

Content & Document Management:

Design and implement a centralized DAM repository supporting multiple file formats (Word, PDF, Excel, PowerPoint, images, videos, web pages) Configure version control with complete history and change rationale Develop custom metadata schemas, taxonomy structures, and advanced search/filtering capabilities Build content archiving and asset lifecycle management (upload, update, delete, expiry tracking)

Workflow & Approval Systems:

Design multi-stage approval workflows with end-to-end automation Configure role-based and preset workflows by content type (social media, press releases, etc.) Enable in-progress workflow editing and scheduled re-approvals based on asset expiry Implement approval tracking and evidence linking within workflows

Compliance & Security:

Build comprehensive, immutable audit trails with tamper detection for all content changes Implement granular RBAC and group-based permissions with content-level access controls Configure data retention policies meeting UK FCA and GDPR requirements (3+ year retention for financial communications) Ensure workflow integrity preventing unauthorized publishing and approval bypass

Automation & Integration:

Configure automated notifications for workflow assignments, tasks, and approvals Plan and execute secure migration from legacy system (Opal) and SharePoint Optimize platform performance and implement monitoring, logging, and disaster recovery capabilities

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Expertise:

4+ years of proven experience with Nuxeo Platform development and configuration Strong understanding of Nuxeo Studio and Nuxeo IDE Expertise in Nuxeo workflow automation using Automation Chains and Event Handlers Proficiency in custom document type creation and metadata schema design Experience with Nuxeo REST API integration Knowledge of Nuxeo permission management and security configuration Familiarity with Nuxeo audit trail and logging mechanisms

Development Skills:

Java development for Nuxeo customizations Experience with Nuxeo Automation Scripting Frontend development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for UI customization Understanding of content migration tools and strategies API integration experience

Compliance & Governance:

Experience implementing audit trail and compliance features Understanding of GDPR and UK FCA regulatory requirements Knowledge of document retention policies and automated enforcement Experience with tamper-proof logging systems

Additional Requirements:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication skills for requirements gathering and documentation Experience with agile development methodologies Ability to work independently in a remote environment Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG) is a plus
