Position Overview

Zen Hospital, a multi-specialty facility in KPHB Colony, Hyderabad, specializing in endocrinology, diabetology, and comprehensive patient care, seeks a qualified Nutritionist/Dietician to join its team. The role focuses on promoting optimal health through evidence-based nutritional guidance, particularly for patients with diabetes, endocrine disorders, prenatal care, and general wellness needs. This full-time position requires 2-4 years of hospital experience and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and lifestyle management.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for inpatients and outpatients, including evaluating dietary habits, medical history, and lab results to identify nutritional risks.

Develop and implement personalized meal plans and dietary interventions tailored to specific conditions, such as diabetes management, weight control, renal health, prenatal nutrition, and post-operative recovery.

Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to educate patients and families on healthy eating, portion control, and sustainable lifestyle changes, emphasizing culturally relevant Indian diets.

Collaborate with physicians, endocrinologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition into treatment plans, including multidisciplinary rounds and case discussions.

Monitor patient progress through follow-up assessments, adjust plans as needed, and document outcomes in electronic health records for continuity of care.

Conduct group workshops, community outreach, and awareness programs on topics like Nutrition Week initiatives, PCOS management, and micronutrient importance.

Ensure compliance with hospital food safety standards, assist in menu planning for therapeutic diets, and manage inventory of nutritional supplements.

Stay updated on the latest research in clinical nutrition and participate in continuing education to enhance service quality.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or Food Science from a recognized university (e.g., B.Sc./M.Sc. in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics).

Registered Dietitian (RD) certification from the Indian Dietetic Association (IDA) preferred.

Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a hospital setting, with exposure to endocrinology or multi-specialty environments.

Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets, including for diabetes, hypertension, and maternity care.

Excellent communication skills in English and Telugu for patient interaction.

Proficiency in nutritional software/tools and basic computer skills for documentation.

Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, in a fast-paced hospital environment.
