As an Agri-Tech Product Testing & Horticulture Research Intern at Grafito Innovations, you will be part of a deep-tech startup dedicated to building advanced precision farming automation solutions. Our mission is to enhance agricultural efficiency and productivity while advocating for sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices through the integration of robotics, AI, and innovative engineering. Your responsibilities will include testing and evaluating our newly developed precision farming machinery on various vegetable crops. You will conduct on-site testing and demonstrations at client locations to assess real-world performance and gather valuable insights. Identifying operational challenges and proposing improvements based on field trials and user feedback will be an essential part of your role. Additionally, you will be tasked with benchmark testing for different machine configurations and generating detailed crop-wise reports. Engaging with research institutions, commercial nurseries, and farmers to comprehend existing pain points and explore potential adoption pathways will be a key aspect of your work. You will also contribute to the development of technical documentation, training materials, and user manuals. Furthermore, creating informative blog posts, visual content, and knowledge resources for outreach purposes will be part of your responsibilities. You will also assist in marketing and customer education through demonstrations and interactions within the agricultural community. The ideal candidate for this position should have a background in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field. A solid understanding of precision farming techniques, nursery operations, and crop propagation is essential. An interest in agricultural tools or mechanized systems, along with the ability to effectively communicate with engineers and field users, is required. A hands-on, field-ready mindset coupled with a passion for addressing agricultural challenges is highly valued. This is a paid internship based in Maker Village, KINFRA Hi-Tech Park, Kalamassery, Kochi, Kerala, with a duration of 3 months. The internship offers a stipend ranging from 15,000 to 18,000 per month.
