By transforming forest waste into marketable products, the project not only enhances income and self-reliance among women but also addresses environmental concerns of pine needle forest fires, creating long-term social and ecological impact across 16 Gram Panchayats in Mashobra Block of Shimla district Field Project Coordinator – Himachal Pradesh Position Summary Responsible for overall field-level implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the pine needle handicrafts livelihood project across 15–20 Gram Panchayats in Mashobra, Shimla district. Acts as the primary link between the Head Office, local field team, community institutions, and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Lead the planning and execution of all project activities in the field, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables. • Supervise and guide the Assistant Field Project Coordinator and Field Executives. • Oversee the mobilization of women entrepreneurs. • Create women’s SHGs and establish an SHG federation to support their business activities and assist in marketing. • Possess the capacity to take ownership of the SHG federation and the mindset to continue working for the federation after the completion of the project in a leadership role. • Coordinate training programs (technical & business skills), exposure visits, and mentoring sessions. • Liaise with experts/trainers for product design, business skills, and marketing support. • Ensure proper use of project resources such as the warehouse, go-down, and packaging units. • Maintain project MIS – beneficiary data, training records, production volumes, and sales tracking. • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly progress reports to the Project Manager at the Head Office. • Represent the project at local events, exhibitions, and stakeholder meetings. • Ensure compliance with donor branding, documentation, and reporting requirements.
