The Registered Nursing (RN) position in Williamsburg, VA requires you to perform a competent level of nursing care utilizing the nursing process. Your responsibilities will include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. You must adhere to professional standards such as ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. You should possess clinical knowledge and skills meeting specific clinical area requirements. A BSN or MSN is preferred. Depending on the specialty, additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, ENPC, ONS/ONCC, Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card, and NRP may be required within specified timeframes. As a Nurse specializing in neonatal care at our facility in Mohali, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of neonates. Your responsibilities will include: Ensuring the safety and security of neonates by strictly adhering to safety protocols. Providing regular updates on the neonate's condition to parents, with immediate notification of any changes while offering emotional support. Reviewing doctors" notes and drug charts upon admission and taking necessary actions. Developing nursing care plans and delivering high-quality bedside nursing care. Coordinating and ensuring timely completion of all investigations as per doctors" advice. Managing pharmacy requirements, including raising indents, checking receipts, and maintaining stock levels. Monitoring neonates on incubators and ventilators, promptly reporting any abnormal findings. Assisting doctors in the management of asphyxiated neonates, including resuscitation and stabilization. Coordinating blood and blood product procurement for transfusions and promptly reporting any reactions. Completing preoperative checklists before neonates" surgeries. Demonstrating expertise in gestational age assessment and handling various neonatal conditions. Being proficient in APGAR scoring, NALS, NRP, IV fluid, and drug calculations. Ensuring safe medication administration and monitoring for adverse reactions. Implementing infection control protocols, including handwashing and narcotic policies. Maintaining awareness and adherence to NABH and NE standards. Enforcing aseptic protocols for visitors in the NICU. If you have 1-5 years of experience and hold a qualification in GNM or B.
