Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Participate in APQP and PPAP activities for New Product Development.
Review and validate design drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
Prepare and maintain PPAP documents Control Plan, Process Flow, PFMEA, Dimensional Reports, MSA, etc.
Conduct CMM inspection and dimensional validation of components (casting, machining, etc.).
Support first article inspection (FAI) and prototype part approvals.
Co-ordinate with cross-functional teams (Design, Production, Supplier Quality) for NPD part approvals.
Identify and resolve quality issues during machining trials and sample submissions.
Ensure adherence to customer-specific requirements and internal quality systems (IATF 16949).
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
Support continuous improvement and standardization of NPD quality processes

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of CMM inspection and dimensional analysis.
Hands-on experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, and MSA.
Understanding of machining processes, casting inspection, and geometrical tolerances (GD&T).
Familiar with quality tools like 8D, 5Why, Fishbone Diagram, etc.
Proficiency in AutoCAD / SolidWorks for drawing interpretation (
OPTIONAL).
Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality systems
