Job Description: Working in a team led by Lead/Area Lead; Undertaking below tasks (1) Reviewing and commenting on Line List. (2) Preparing miscellaneous Lists. Eg. Terminal Point List, Tie-In List. (3) Overseeing preparation of Nozzle Orientation drawings. (4) Overseeing preparation of Piping MTO in required deliverable format/template. (5) Preparing Pipe support List / Pipe Support Register (6) Piping Insulation calculations. (7) Preparing Piping Load Summary as input for Civil/Structural design. (8) Interdiscipline coordination tasks. (9) Other miscellaneous tasks. (B) Knowledge Base / Soft Skills 1. Good understanding of : (i) P&IDs (ii) Equipment data sheets and Vendor drawings (iii) Equipment layout fundamentals (iv) Piping layout and routing fundamentals (v) Piping BOQ (MTO) preparation (vi) Pipe supports (vii) Nozzle Orientation principles (viii) Stress Analysis Reports (ix) 3D model navigation in Navisworks 2. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards 3. Good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Paint.

Study & internalize the requirements of a project pertaining to Pressure vessels, atmospheric tanks, ladders, and platforms & equipment’s related to ZLD- e.g. Flash tank, Heat Exchangers, FFE etc-

Execute Piping engineering of projects leading a dedicated team of 4 to 8 persons. This could be an entire small project or specific areas of a large project. (1) Single point of contact (SPOC) and accountability for quality and on-time delivery for piping activities of assigned Project/Area. (2) Participate in Design Reviews. (3) Undertake project related interactions with Onsite coordinator. (4) Support Piping Lead in preparing proposals and manhour estimates. (5) Support Piping Lead in providing manpower forecast and manpower gap analysis. Support Piping Lead in harmonising allocation of shared team members. (6) Support Piping Lead in project scheduling, including extension/re-baselining needs. (7) Support Piping Lead in Interdiscipline interfaces. (8) Support Piping Lead in Claims related to rework, extra work, idle time, etc. (9) Support Piping Lead in maintaining uniformity and enhancing efficiency of design philosophies via regular feedbacks and lessons learnt data. (10) Resolve queries/concerns of team members.

Knowledge of Layout, Piping GA, Isometrics, Piping Materials, Pipe supports, Standards (like ASME, API, IBR), 3D modelling, stress critical lines. Software knowledge will be added advantage.Piping Layout Design Develop and design piping layouts using software like AutoCAD, PDMS, or SmartPlant, ensuring efficient routing and system functionality. 3D Modeling: Create and review 3D models of piping systems, including isometric drawings and piping schematics, to ensure accuracy. Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs meet industry codes (e.g., ASME, ANSI) and client-specific standards, focusing on safety, reliability, and efficiency. Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, structural) to integrate piping designs with overall plant systems. Material & Support Selection: Choose appropriate materials, piping components, and support structures based on pressure, temperature, and operational conditions.

Job Requirements Design layout in 3D models of equipment, piping, structures and instrumentation for the entire plant and or insider a skid Provide safe operation and access for operators of the package Minimize fabrication cost through optimization of pipe and cable tray routing Follow international standards and project specifications Assure designs are ready for review and comments are correctly resolved Produce detailed drawings for both proposal and project requirements Ensure that fabrication drawings clearly present information to the shop floor Produce and ensure quality and consistency of common piping deliverables including; Isometrics, Piping GA's, Tie-In Details and Plot Plans Undertake MTO duties when necessary and assists with the preparation of presentation material, such as videos, animation and plant views Resolve issues during fabrication, such as physical clashes Review drawings produced by others Engage in the mark-up of P&IDs Work Experience Understanding of the fundamental process and mechanical requirements of the company’s process packages Able to spatially conceptualize and translate ideas into design drawings Thorough knowledge of Equipment layout Development, Piping layout design for all types of equipment such as Vessels, Exchangers, Tanks, Pumps, Compressors and Piping MTO Familiar with the requirements of Oil & Gas drawings and specifications, including normal symbology and the requirement for consistency Understand the data requirements of drawings being produced to facilitate an efficient fabrication process Ability to translate technical data into equipment drawings Familiarity with fabrication practices Engineering Degree – Mechanical or equivalent experience
