The accountant will be responsible for managing all finance, accounts, and compliance-related tasks of the organization with a specific focus on import-related activities. The role requires handling day-to-day accounting, import documentation, taxation, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and coordination with bank, Key Responsibilities Preparation and verification of import documentation (Purchase Orders, Proforma Invoices, Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, etc.). Work closely with Customs House Agents (CHA), freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters for timely clearance of goods. Checking and recording Bill of Entry, customs duty, IGST on imports, and related payments. Maintaining proper records of imports for audit, GST input credit, and statutory purposes. Manage foreign remittances, advance import payments, and vendor settlements as per RBI and FEMA guidelines. Tracking shipments, ensuring timely clearance, and reconciling import-related expenses. Record day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally Preparation of vouchers (Purchase, Sales, Payment, Receipt, Journal). Reconciliation of Bank, Vendor, Customer, GST and Customs Duty accounts. Maintain inventory records of imported stock, ensuring correct valuation and reporting. Monitoring accounts payable/receivable and ensuring timely settlement. File GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual return) including IGST on imports and RCM transactions. TDS calculation, deduction, payment, and filing of returns. Preparing MIS reports: Import cost sheet, landed cost, duty structure, and profitability. Assisting in internal audit, statutory audit, and tax audit. Coordination with external consultants (tax advisors, auditors, legal advisors). Performing any other finance/compliance tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications & Skills Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA (Finance) or equivalent. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounting, imports, and compliance. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Tally ERP knowledge of GST, Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and reporting tools. Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills. Ability to handle multi-tasking and meet deadlines.
