Key Responsibilities: Design & Drafting Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of kitchen equipment using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Design components with an emphasis on sheet metal fabrication, ensuring DFM (Design for Manufacturability). Prepare detailed assembly drawings and BOMs (Bill of Materials) for fabrication and assembly teams. Modify existing designs to improve efficiency, reduce material wastage, or adapt to client-specific requirements. Product Development Collaborate with R&D to conceptualize, prototype, and test new products and innovations in commercial kitchen equipment. Conduct regular research and benchmarking against competitor products to ensure industry-leading designs. Ensure product compliance with safety, ergonomics, and industrial standards. Production Support Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot design-related challenges on the shop floor. Assist in setting up fabrication and assembly SOPs based on final designs. Optimize designs for cost, function, and ease of assembly. Skills & Qualifications: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal product design. Proficiency in SolidWorks (including Sheet Metal module) and AutoCAD is mandatory. Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, tolerances, fasteners, and welding techniques. Knowledge of assembly line operations and ergonomics in commercial kitchen equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a growth mindset. Strong communication and team leadership capabilities. Experience in kitchen equipment industry is preferred, but not mandatory.

Consultant, Architect & Manufacturer Engagement: Meet and build partnerships with industry consultants, kitchen planners, architects, interior designers, and food service project managers. Present North Star’s product range and turnkey capabilities in a structured and consultative manner. Business Development & Sales Growth: Develop a robust sales pipeline and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets. Attend industry exhibitions, conferences, and networking events to generate leads. Provide feedback and market insights to help shape product and marketing strategy. Project Coordination & Documentation: Coordinate with internal teams for project proposals, quotations, and order processing. Ensure timely reporting to the head office with client updates, market feedback, and sales progress. Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and evolving needs in the food and hospitality industry. Requirements Minimum 4 years of sales or business development experience in the food service, commercial kitchen equipment, or hospitality sector. Strong fluency in English – written and spoken. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and close deals. Proven ability to manage and grow a sales territory or segment. Understanding of kitchen layouts, equipment specifications, or food service operations is a strong advantage. Self-motivated, disciplined, and target-driven with a professional appearance and attitude. Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry interactions.
