You will be responsible for setting out works in accordance with the drawings and specifications provided. Your duties will include liaising with the planning engineer regarding construction programmes, checking materials and work in progress for compliance with specified requirements, and ensuring a safe work-front for labours. It is essential to observe safety requirements for the activity being executed and resolve technical issues on site. Additionally, you will act as a representative of NorthernSky Management when liaising about different issues with vendors and suppliers. As part of your role, you are expected to strictly adhere to the Method statement and follow all quality procedures necessary for the activity. Timely checks should be performed to ensure that activities completed are in line with the specifications. You will also be required to liaise with the Management or the Purchase department to ensure that Purchase Orders raised adequately define the specified requirements. Supervision and training of junior or trainee engineers will be part of your responsibilities. You will also assist the quantity surveyor in measuring quantities of different items of work and enter daily progress reports on site in the prescribed format. This is a full-time position with benefits including health insurance and Provident Fund. The work schedule is during the day shift, with day shift availability preferred.
