About The Role We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Database Developer Performance Tuning to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL Server databases with a strong focus on performance tuning and T-SQL programming. Youll work closely with application developers, QA engineers, and system architects to ensure efficient and scalable database solutions. The ideal candidate is someone with a solid foundation in database design and performance optimization, who is also proactive in identifying potential issues and proposing innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain database objects including stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and scripts using T-SQL. Design and implement scalable database solutions that align with business and technical requirements. Collaborate with software development teams to integrate efficient database queries into applications. Analyze and troubleshoot SQL Server performance issues including slow-running queries, blocking, deadlocks, and index fragmentation. Perform index tuning, query optimization, and execution plan analysis. Monitor and fine-tune SQL Server environments for high performance and availability. Design and develop SSRS reports, dashboards, and data visualizations based on business requirements. Prepare technical documentation including data models, specifications, and functional flow diagrams. Maintain version control and change management using tools like Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Git. Perform routine database administration tasks including backups, security, patching, and schema migrations. Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements for stability, scalability, and efficiency. Provide technical support to development and QA teams, and assist in debugging and fixing : Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL for database development and performance tuning. Strong understanding of relational database design, normalization, and data integrity principles. Hands-on experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) for report generation and customization. Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or equivalent version control and issue tracking tools. Familiarity with cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus but not mandatory.
