To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of End Point Protection Software, Enterprise Detection and Response software, and information security management principles. Your ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, as well as your critical thinking and problem-solving skills, will be essential for success in this position. In terms of qualifications, a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred. Additionally, certifications such as SANS GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), SANS GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), and SANS GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) are preferred. Previous experience in the Technology Information Security Industry, knowledge of SIEM and IPS technologies, and proficiency with tools like Wireshark or tcpdump are also required.
