Position: Research Officer Job Summary The Research Executive will be part of the Program Research and Monitoring team. S/he will be responsible to provide support in data management and analysis for programmatic studies undertaken across different thematic areas including Water Resource Management, Livelihood (agro- and skill-based), Health and Sanitation, Education and Women’s empowerment. Job Responsibilities Contribute by reviewing literature, developing sampling approach and computing sample size requirements at the stage of concept and proposal development Contribute to orienting / training field teams for study implementation Coordinate with field locations for collection, collation and coordination of data Undertake data cleaning and structure databases in Excel/SPSS as per the requirement of research studies / assessments Contribute to designing analysis plans and conduct quantitative/qualitative data analysis Write descriptive reports from analyzed data Contribute to development and maintenance of an organization-wide data management system Competencies required Sound understanding of statistics and ability to conduct basic and multivariate analysis is an essential requirement. Advanced skills in using Ms Word, Ms Excel, and familiarity with using SPSS or other statistical software such as SAS/STATA, etc. are essential requirements. Basic knowledge of research designs is an essential requirement. Familiarity with management and analysis of qualitative data using software such as NVIVO/Atlas.ti Familiarity with use of latest technical approaches to data collection (e.g. use of tablets, etc.) Good communication and interpersonal skills and readiness to work in teams Good speaking and writing skills in English Ability to handle multiple tasks and stay organized Reporting to: Manager – Programme Research Location: Mumbai Level: Middle Level Management Qualification: Master’s degree in Statistics / Social Work / Development Studies or related discipline Experience: 2 – 3 years’ experience of working on data management/analysis Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month Benefits: Cell phone reimbursement Health insurance Internet reimbursement Leave encashment Life insurance Provident Fund Work Location: In person
