Node.js Developer

We are seeking an experienced Node.js Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of server-side components. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing RESTful APIs, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests, and staying up-to-date with industry trends and back-end technologies. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of real-time experience in developing applications using Node.js. A strong understanding of JavaScript and ES6+ features is required, along with proficiency in Node.js frameworks like Express.js or Koa. Experience with asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and RESTful APIs is essential for success in this role. Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of structured and unstructured databases, such as MySQL and MongoDB, and experience with ORMs like Sequelize or Mongoose. Proficiency in code versioning tools like Git, testing frameworks such as Mocha, Chai, or Jest, and writing clean and efficient code are also important qualifications. Understanding security best practices, web application vulnerabilities, containerisation, and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes are valued skills. Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) is an added advantage. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to debug efficiently, good time-management, precise communication, and the capacity to learn new technologies quickly. Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle, Agile/Scrum methodologies, performance tuning of Node.js applications, continuous integration and deployment processes, and collaboration with cross-functional teams are beneficial attributes.
