Node JS Testing

Role Overview: You will be responsible for coding and automation testing using JavaScript technologies, specifically focusing on TypeScript. Your role will involve developing and testing scalable Restful APIs and Microservices, creating end-to-end Automation test suites, and troubleshooting issues in a distributed services ecosystem. Additionally, you will work with CI/CD principles, containerization, API gateway integrations, and authentication methods like Single-Sign-on. Key Responsibilities: - Code and perform automation testing using JavaScript technologies - Develop and test scalable Restful APIs and Microservices - Create end-to-end Automation test suites, preferably using BDD approach - Troubleshoot issues in a distributed services ecosystem - Work with CI/CD principles, containerization, and API gateway integrations - Implement authentication methods like Single-Sign-on - Collaborate with the team to follow best coding, testing, security, and documentation standards - Research and benchmark technology against industry best practices - Participate in Agile methodology and contribute to the team environment Qualifications Required: - Degree or Postgraduate in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience - Minimum 5 years of coding and automation testing experience in JavaScript technologies - At least 1 year hands-on experience in TypeScript - Practical experience with GraphQL - Familiarity with CI/CD principles, containerization (Dockers, Kubernetes), and API gateway integrations like 3Scale - Understanding of authentication methods such as Rest, JWT, and oAuth - Knowledge of task/message queues including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Pushpin, and Kafka - Experience in following best coding, testing, security, unit testing, and documentation standards - Familiarity with Agile methodology Additional Company Details (if present in the JD): Virtusa is a global team of 27,000 professionals who prioritize teamwork, quality of life, and professional development.
