Job Title: NMR Technical Assistant Responsibilities : Operation of High resolution Multi-nuclear solutions State NMR 500MHz spectrometer, including sample preparations using different Deuterated samples Disposing of Samples by following appropriate safe procedures after the analysis Data Interpretation and analysis of organic/ chemical, pharmaceutical samples Coordination of the procurement of Liquid Nitrogen and filling it in the superconducting magnet, on weekly basis. Offering NMR analytical service support to internal users and external clients ( Industry and Academia) and communicate with the users effectively. Attending the operational and periodic maintenance requirement and coordinate with the faculty in-charges to avoid break-down times Preparing logbooks and updating log books with data entry of samples received in day to basis and also instrument working condition and operation status Educating faculty and students in sample preparation suitable for NMR samples Basic Trouble shooting NMR spectrometer and its peripherals like air- compressors in case of any malfunction, and coordinate with the Service engineers from M/s Bruker India Basic knowledge on power supply and back system (UPS) air compressors Supporting the faculty in-charge in conducting workshops and lab visits Education: M.Sc Degree in Physical sciences /Chemical Sciences Experience : Proven Experience in Handling High Resolution NMR spectrometers, Sample Preparations, NMR experimental design and execution , spectral analysis of Organic/small molecule , is highly desirable.
