The Driver Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and onboarding qualified Class A CDL drivers in accordance with company hiring standards and DOT regulations. This role plays a critical part in building and maintaining a safe, reliable, and professional driving team while supporting overall retention and recruiting strategies. Role & responsibilities Proactively source CDL-A driver candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and industry platforms Conduct phone screens and interviews to assess qualifications, experience, and cultural fit Review employment, motor vehicle records (MVR), PSP, and criminal background history with the processing team Coordinate the pre-employment process, including drug testing, and document collection Schedule drivers for orientation and provide clear communication about expectations and next steps Maintain accurate records in applicant tracking systems (Tenstreet) Collaborate with management and orientation teams to ensure a smooth transition from hire to seated driver Follow up with new hires during their first weeks to ensure a positive experience and address concerns Assist in retention efforts by identifying and addressing driver concerns early Ensure all hiring decisions are made in compliance with company policies, DOT, and FMCSA standards Preferred candidate profile Strong speaking and writing communication skills. Role & responsibilities Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: Load Planning, equipment tracking. Lead a fleet of 50+ drivers and manage load planning to maximize productivity of their fleet by region. Develop a personal and professional relationship with drivers that leads to exceptional safety, service, equipment care, fuel performance and retention. Coach Drivers and driver managers to achieve their weekly mileage goal depending on lane, by effectively managing home time and hours of service. Collaborate with driver managers and assign drivers to lanes that best serve both the company and the driver. Discuss each load and the service expectations with every driver and driver managers on every plan. Track freight to its destination to ensure on time delivery. Work closely with customer service representatives to ensure customer is updated. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations to meet company demands and expectations and perform other duties as assigned. Assist with any issues that arise with the load issues at the shipper, receiver, product issues, overages, shortages, damages, rescheduling etc.
