Job Title: National Key Account Manager Modern Trade Location: Mumbai Department: Sales Modern Trade Reporting To: Head Modern Trade Industry: FMCG Education: MBA from Tier 1 B School. Role Objective: To lead and manage relationships with national and regional modern trade accounts, driving revenue, visibility, and growth. The NKAM will be responsible for end-to-end account management including joint business planning, revenue forecasting, promotions, category development, and cross-functional coordination. Key Responsibilities: Key Account Management Own and drive business with top national modern trade chains (e.g., Reliance Retail, DMart, Spencer's, Metro, More, Amazon/BigBasket (if e-commerce is included), etc.) Negotiate trading terms, annual contracts, and strategic partnerships Build strong relationships with buyers and category heads at the national level Business Planning & Execution Develop and implement Joint Business Plans (JBP) with each key account Drive revenue targets, ensure accurate forecasting and SKU-level planning Ensure 100% execution of visibility agreements and in-store branding Promotions & Campaign Management Plan and execute in-store promotions, offers, and seasonal campaigns in coordination with marketing Analyze ROI on trade spends and optimize promotional strategy based on performance metrics Cross-functional Coordination Liaise with supply chain, finance, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure seamless execution of orders, availability, and fulfillment Ensure timely payments, claim settlement, and credit management MIS & Analytics Monitor sales performance, stock availability, fill rates, and profitability by account Track competitor activities, market share, and category trends Provide monthly dashboards and actionable insights to management Desired Candidate Profile: Education: MBA in Sales/Marketing from Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute preferred Experience: 712 years of experience in FMCG / Consumer Goods industry, with minimum 3 years in modern trade key account management For regular jobs, follow us https://lnkd.in/gyWcKW4g https://lnkd.in/gx4Gn5yq Skills: Strong negotiation and relationship management skills Analytical ability and comfort with data-driven decisions Proven experience in managing large-format retailers / e-commerce Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools

Role Objective: To drive growth and profitability across leading e-commerce and quick commerce platforms through strategic account management, platform execution, and performance marketing optimization. Key Responsibilities: Account Management – E-commerce & Q-Commerce (60%) Manage key relationships with platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, and BigBasket. Drive revenue targets, assortment planning, pricing strategy, and margin improvement Develop and execute joint business plans (JBP) with key accounts Ensure strong product availability, seamless order execution, and catalog hygiene Quick Commerce Execution (15%) Manage dark store operations, including fill rates, OTIF, and platform-specific promotions Ensure proper SKU selection, rapid inventory replenishment, and in-app visibility Coordinate with supply chain for efficient stock planning at local hubs Performance Marketing (20%) Collaborate with internal digital marketing and platform teams to plan and execute campaigns (e.g., AMS, Sponsored Ads, Flipkart Ads, Q-Commerce media slots) Optimize performance marketing spends to maximize ROAS and conversions Track campaign metrics: CTR, CPC, conversion rate, and take corrective actions Leverage insights to improve platform visibility and share-of-search Data, Reporting & Analysis (5%) Track KPIs like sales, ROI, stock availability, and competitor pricing Maintain dashboards, weekly trackers, and share actionable insights with leadership Desired Candidate Profile: Education: MBA (Sales, Marketing, Digital) from a Tier 1 B School.
