Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Research Fellow at NIT Warangal, located in Warangal,for the project - Determination of strength and damage parameters for metals and ceramics and high strain rate characterization of foams . The Junior Research Fellow will be responsible for conducting research, gathering and analyzing data, assisting in designing and executing experiments, documenting results, preparing reports and research papers, and collaborating with other team members on various projects. Three (03) Years. Initial appointment for a period of one year and may be extended up to the period of project duration based on annual performance review. Link to google form: https://lnkd.in/gWEecq8U Essential Qualifications: 1. B.E/ B.Tech/ in Civil Engineering from government institutions with First class/Division. Should be GATE qualified (or) M.E/M.Tech in Structural Engineering/Engineering Structures with First Class/Division. Should be GATE qualified Desired Qualifications: • Strong fundamentals in structural engineering/solid mechanics subjects including Elasticity, FEM, Plasticity, Structural Dynamics and Wave propagation. • Ability to conduct hands on experimental studies on Ceramics, Metals, Polymers and Foams. •Demonstrated knowledge of simulation software – LSDYNA/ABAQUS/ LAMMPS. • Familiarity with rate dependent constitutive models- JH2, JC. • Knowledge of MATLAB/Python programming. • Ability to write technical research papers, work in a team and good communication skills. • Basic knowledge of electronics (Wheatstone bridge based DAQ) and signal processing.
