Position: Assistant Manager Production Department: Production (Collaboration with R&D and QC Team) Reporting To: Assistant Vice President Manufacturing Job Summary: The Assistant Manager Production will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing production processes while ensuring alignment with R&D, QC, and supply chain teams. The role demands effective coordination, process improvement, and adherence to safety and quality standards to achieve operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate seamlessly with the Research & Technology, Supply Chain, and Plant Planning teams to ensure synergy and effective communication across departments. Production Scheduling & Monitoring: Oversee batch scheduling as per the production plan, proactively addressing constraints, and ensuring timely discussions with relevant functions to maintain on-time delivery. Process Safety Management: Collaborate with the plant team to implement and enhance process safety protocols, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and safeguarding plant operations. Standardization & Validation: Ensure standardization and validation of new products as per specifications, maintaining replicability and reproducibility during scale-up in production blocks, with comprehensive documentation. Capex Proposal & Execution: Take charge of capital expenditure (capex) proposal preparation and execution, identifying strategic investment opportunities for production facility modernization and growth. Quality & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and operational best practices in production. Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and optimize resource utilization. Training & Development: Mentor and train production team members on best practices, safety protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in production management within the paints, coatings, or chemical industry. Strong understanding of process safety management (PSM), batch manufacturing, and scale-up processes. Experience in collaborating with R&D, Quality Control (QC), and Supply Chain functions. Proven ability to handle production planning, troubleshooting, and process improvements. Familiarity with capex planning and execution in a manufacturing environment. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance within the chemical manufacturing industry.

Job Title: Executive /Officer R&D Protective Coating & GIU Department: Research & Development (R&D) Location: Nippon Paint India Private Limited Reports To: R&D Manager / Head of R&D Job Summary: The R&D Specialist Protective Coating & GIU will be responsible for developing, formulating, and enhancing protective coatings for various industrial and infrastructure applications. This role involves conducting research, evaluating raw materials, improving product performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in coatings, polymers, and industrial applications. Key Responsibilities: Product Development: Formulate and develop protective coatings, ensuring superior performance, durability, and sustainability. Raw Material Evaluation: Assess and qualify new raw materials for enhanced product performance and cost optimization. Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct laboratory tests, evaluate product performance, and ensure compliance with national and international coating standards (ISO, ASTM, BIS, etc.). Innovation & Research: Drive innovation in coating technologies by researching and implementing new formulations and additives. Collaboration: Work closely with production, technical service, and sales teams to ensure seamless product development and commercialization. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all formulations meet regulatory and environmental standards, including VOC regulations and hazardous substance restrictions. Problem-Solving: Address technical challenges related to coatings, adhesion, corrosion resistance, and application techniques. Qualifications & Skills: Educational Background: M.Sc./Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. Experience: 5+ years of experience in R&D, specifically in protective coatings, industrial coatings, or GIU (General Industrial Use) coatings. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of resin chemistry, pigments, additives, and coating application techniques. Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to paints and coatings. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information effectively to internal teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities: Raw Material Verification: Check the availability of raw materials as per the formula prepared by the R&D team before initiating the production process. Production Initiation: Ensure proper setup and start the production process as per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines. Batch Monitoring: Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team for timely batch testing and approval before proceeding to final production. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of raw material usage, batch progress, and QC approvals to ensure transparency in the production process. Coordination with Teams: Work closely with the R&D, QC, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery. Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements within the production facility to maintain a safe working environment. Key Qualifications & Experience: Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Production, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing/production within the paints, coatings, or chemical industry preferred. Basic understanding of batch production, raw material handling, and quality control procedures . Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setup.
