DevOps Engineer – Auto Remediation (Azure, SignalFx, GitHub Actions) About the Role We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who can build automation that reacts to cloud alerts and fixes problems without manual effort. SignalFx alerts should trigger GitHub Actions workflows that diagnose and remediate issues in our Azure cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities • Connect SignalFx alerts to GitHub Actions using webhooks or integrations. • Write GitHub Action workflows that run automatically when alerts fire. • Automate fixes for common Azure issues such as: • Restarting or scaling VMs, AKS nodes, or services. • Restoring network rules or failed deployments. • Replacing unhealthy resources. • Ensure automation is safe, tested, and logs all changes. • Use Terraform, PowerShell, or Python to apply fixes. • Work with the SRE/Cloud team to identify repeat problems and build new playbooks. • Track improvements in downtime, MTTR (Mean Time to Recovery), and alert noise. Requirements • Experience with Azure cloud services (VMs, AKS, Networking, Storage). • Hands-on with GitHub Actions (workflows, jobs, reusable actions). • Familiar with Terraform, PowerShell, or Python scripting. • Knowledge of monitoring tools (SignalFx, Splunk, or similar). • Strong understanding of automation and cloud operations. Nice to Have • Experience with auto-remediation or self-healing systems. • Knowledge of security and compliance guardrails in Azure. • Familiarity with incident management (Jira, ServiceNow, PagerDuty).
