We are currently developing a modern online food and grocery delivery platform designed to transform the way customers shop for everyday essentials. We are looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Application Engineer to join our engineering team on a full-time, remote contract basis . You will play a leading role in developing and maintaining our mobile applications for a fast-growing UK-based platform. Job Summary The Senior Mobile Application Engineer will lead the mobile development efforts for our delivery platform. The role involves hands-on work with React Native , managing complex application states, integrating APIs, and ensuring excellent app performance and reliability across iOS and Android devices. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable mobile applications using React Native for both iOS and Android. Integrate third-party APIs such as Google Maps , Stripe (payment gateway) , and internal backend services. Manage complex app states using Redux for maintainability and performance. Work closely with backend developers and UI/UX designers to ensure seamless functionality and user experience. Optimize app performance, responsiveness, and security. Write clean, testable, and maintainable code using Jest and related testing frameworks. Manage App Store and Google Play Store submissions and updates. Implement WebSocket-based real-time communication with backend servers. Requirements 8+ years of professional experience in mobile application development. Proven expertise in React Native , Redux.js , and Firebase Authentication . Experience developing enterprise-grade mobile applications that are scalable, secure, and performance-optimized. Strong understanding of integrating third-party APIs and backend services. Solid grasp of mobile app lifecycle management, version control, and build tools. Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment . Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
