Position: Assignment Head/ News Manager Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh Salary: 60,000 - 80,000 per month (based on experience) Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage daily news operations, from planning to publishing - Identify high-impact stories, angles, ground reports, and trending topics - Coordinate with reporters, anchors, video editors, and field teams - Assign stories, vet scripts, and ensure editorial accuracy & integrity - Oversee production of field reports, interviews, explainers, and digital-first stories - Maintain newsroom workflow and ensure timely, high-quality output - Collaborate with management to shape content strategy and editorial guidelines - Ensure compliance with ethical journalism standards and platform policies What We're Looking For: - Strong newsroom experience (digital news, TV, or ground-reporting background preferred) - Excellent editorial judgement and story selection ability - Ability to manage teams, handle pressure, and make quick decisions - Deep understanding of Hindi-speaking audience and news landscape - Strong communication skills in Hindi & English - Minimum 6 years of newsroom/editorial experience preferred If you can run a dynamic newsroom, lead with clarity, and help create journalism that actually matters, The Edge Originals wants to meet you.
