Job Overview: We are seeking a confident, articulate, and engaging TV News Anchor to be the face of our news channel. The ideal candidate will present news stories accurately, clearly, and dynamically to our viewers, both live on-air and during pre-recorded segments. You will collaborate with reporters, producers, and the editorial team to deliver informative and impactful content. Key Responsibilities: Present daily news bulletins, breaking news, and special segments in a professional and engaging manner. Write and edit scripts for on-air delivery when necessary. Conduct live interviews with guests, experts, and correspondents. Collaborate with producers and newsroom staff to develop compelling storylines. Stay updated with current events, both local and international. Represent the channel at public events, press conferences, or field assignments. Ensure all content adheres to journalistic standards, ethics, and legal guidelines. Work under tight deadlines and manage multiple live updates. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field. Prior experience as a news anchor, reporter, or in broadcast journalism is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong on-camera presence and voice modulation. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic news environment. Comfortable with teleprompters, live interviews, and field reporting. Strong editorial judgment and knowledge of news ethics. Preferred Skills: Bilingual abilities or proficiency in regional languages is a plus. Familiarity with newsroom software and broadcast tools. Ability to engage with digital/social media platforms for news promotion. Work Schedule: Flexible with working hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on news schedules and breaking events. Salary: Commensurate with experience and industry standards.
