What You'll Be Doing Channel Partnership Development Identify, approach and onboard strategic payment partners (UPI processors, PSPs, gateways, aggregators) Develop and manage relationships with agents, distributors and B2B platforms to strengthen our regional presence Evaluate partner capabilities, coordinate integration timelines and ensure successful technical go-live Partner Lifecycle Management Own the end-to-end partner journey from pitching and onboarding to activation and expansion Ensure partner compliance with operational policies, settlement terms, tax regulations Act as the main liaison between partners and internal stakeholders Performance & Execution Oversight Monitor key operational metrics (success rate, uptime, cost per transaction, reconciliation accuracy) Identify and resolve channel-related issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams Propose improvements to onboarding flows, partner operations and internal workflows Additional Responsibilities Manage and coordinate local Indian entities including public account registration, tax compliance and CA resource allocation Conduct in-depth research on third-party Indian payment channels, oversee access and maintenance strategies Independently develop and manage local payment gateway and banking relationships in India Lead commercial negotiations, craft cooperation strategies and drive execution of key partnerships Analyze the Indian payment market to uncover high-value growth opportunities Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize business processes and improve execution efficiency Who Were Looking For 2+ years of experience in payment partnerships, business development or channel management (ideally in fintech, e-commerce, or SaaS) Strong understanding of India's payment ecosystem UPI, wallets, PSPs (e.g., Razorpay, Cashfree, Airpay, MobiCash, Pay U, CC Avenue, etc.) Prior experience working with or at Indian banks (ICICI, RBL, IDFC, YESBANK, etc) or acquiring institutions is a strong plus Existing relationships with senior stakeholders in banks, payment processors, or regulators will be highly valued Experience navigating compliance, licensing, or operational structures tied to Indian financial institutions Excellent communication skills in English (Hindi or Mandarin is a plus) Skilled in commercial negotiation, partner engagement and stakeholder management Fast learner with a hands-on approach and comfort operating independently across time zones Strong sense of ownership and adaptability in fast-evolving business contexts
