As a Nuclear Physicist or Engineer at Holtec International, you will have the opportunity to join a dynamic team at the forefront of the global nuclear industry. Holtec is currently looking for candidates from various backgrounds, ranging from fresh university graduates to seasoned specialists in nuclear engineering and physics. You can choose to work at the technology campus in Camden, NJ, or one of the company's operation centers in Pune, India. Regardless of your work location, you will be an essential part of a team of specialists led by SVP Dr. Stefan Anton at the Corporate Engineering Center in Camden, NJ. Holtec values strong academic credentials and welcomes applicants with diverse levels of academic and industrial experience. In this role, you will engage in interactions with US national labs, the USNRC, operating nuclear power plants, and international regulatory authorities. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required as part of your responsibilities. You will be involved in nuclear criticality and shielding analyses using advanced software such as MCNP, CASMO/SIMULATE, and SCALE. Depending on your experience, you may also have the opportunity to contribute to developing core loading plans for reactors at the Palisades nuclear plant and the SMR-300 fleet. To qualify for this position, you should have a B.S. degree in nuclear engineering, preferably with an advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.) in a relevant nuclear sub-discipline. Professional experience in the nuclear energy field, knowledge of nuclear power plant operations and physics, and demonstrated analytical skills in neutronics or radiation transport will be advantageous for experienced positions.
