Monitor and manage life-support systems such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and invasive monitoring. Perform critical care procedures such as central line insertion, intubation, thoracentesis, and advanced airway management. Collaborate with other specialties (cardiology, neurology, surgery, etc.) to provide integrated care. Participate in patient/family counseling, ensuring clarity about diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment options. Supervise and train ICU medical officers, residents, nurses, and allied health staff.
