Neuro OT Technician

Paras Hospital is hiring Neuro OT Technician.

Note: Need Immediate Joiners.

Location: Gurgaon

Role Objective:

To assist in all neurosurgical operations by preparing and managing the Operation Theatre, instruments, equipment, and sterile environment. The Neuro OT Technician plays a vital role in supporting surgeons during brain, spine, and other neurological procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-operative Responsibilities:

• Prepare the Neuro OT with all required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
  
• Check and ensure functionality of OT equipment like operating microscopes, C-arms, drills, neuronavigation systems, suction machines, and cautery units.
  
• Assist in positioning the patient for neurosurgical procedures (e.g., craniotomy, spine surgeries).
  
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols.
  

Intra-operative Assistance:

• Hand over instruments to the surgeon and scrub nurse during surgery.
  
• Operate and assist with OT equipment like microscopes, drills, and endoscopy systems.
  
• Maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure.
  
• Coordinate with the anaesthesia team and circulating nurse as required.
  

Post-operative Duties:

• Help with patient transfer to recovery or ICU.
  
• Clean, sterilize, and store instruments after each procedure.
  
• Ensure OT is ready for the next case with proper turnover.
  

Equipment Management:

• Maintain inventory of neuro OT instruments and report any malfunction or repair needs.
  
• Assist in periodic maintenance of specialised neurosurgical equipment.
  

Compliance & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of surgeries, instrument usage, and sterilization logs.
  
• Follow hospital SOPs, NABH/JCI standards, and safety protocols.
  

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Education:

  Diploma in OT Technology / B.Sc. in OT / Certificate in Neuro OT (preferred)

• Experience:

  Above 2 years of experience in a hospital OT, with exposure to neurosurgical procedures.

• Skills Required:

• Knowledge of neurosurgical instruments and protocols.
  
• Ability to operate neuro-specific OT equipment.
  
• Good coordination and teamwork.
  
• Attention to detail and infection control awareness.
  
• Basic computer and documentation skills.
