Description
As a Networking Test Engineer at Google, you will be responsible for ensuring that our extensive network operates at peak performance levels. Your role will involve working closely with the Platforms Team to design and build hardware, software, and networking technologies that underpin Google's services. Minimum qualifications: - Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Have at least 1 year of hands-on experience in software development and testing. - Demonstrate proficiency in test methodologies, including writing test plans, creating test cases, automation, and debugging. - Familiarity with a coding language such as C++ or Python. Preferred qualifications: - Prior experience in Network Equipment and Network Protocols Testing and debugging. - Strong understanding of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, automation, and debugging. In this role, you will be part of the ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization, where you will contribute to the design, implementation, and management of hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for Google services and Google Cloud. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing test plans for networking features, equipment, and systems, collaborating with development teams to validate software and hardware systems, and maintaining Testbed infrastructure. Your expertise in network protocols, test design, and implementation will be crucial in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of Google's cutting-edge technology.
