As a Wireless Network SRE, your responsibilities include: - Managing wireless infrastructure operations to ensure high availability and reliability. - Collaborating with architecture, tooling, and deployment teams to ensure new implementations align with production standards. - Advocating for automation to improve operational efficiency. - Monitoring network performance, identifying areas for enhancement, and working with relevant teams on improvements. - Educating the network support team to assist in supporting the global Nvidia wireless footprint. - Collaborating with subject matter experts on swift production issue resolution for customer satisfaction. - Identifying operational enhancement opportunities and partnering with teams to drive excellence and sustainability in network operations. Requirements: - Educational Background: BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Professional Experience: Minimum 8 years in wireless site reliability engineering or related areas with a solid understanding of wireless network components. - Wireless Protocols and Standards: Expertise in technologies like 802.11ac, 802.11ax, WPA, Radius, EAP, 802.1X. - Wireless Access Points and Controllers: Strong familiarity with WLAN controllers, especially Mist. - RF Design and Troubleshooting: Understanding RF fundamentals, site surveys, spectrum analysis, interference mitigation, and optimization for events. - Network Skills: Proficiency in TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, VPN, L2 switching. - Programming and Scripting Skills: Experience in Python, Perl, Bash. - Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, Nautobot/Netbox, Netdisco. - System Administration: Knowledge of Linux system fundamentals is advantageous. - Problem-Solving and Communication: Systematic problem-solving approach, excellent communication skills, and a sense of ownership.
