Your advanced knowledge should include routing protocols like BGP and OSPF, layer 3 and layer 2 switching, spanning-tree protocols, ARP, port-channel, and DHCP. You should also be familiar with hardware such as Cisco Nexus 5K, 7K, 9Ks, FEX 2K, Cisco 3900 routers, Cisco CRS/Company, Juniper MX960, Cisco ASR 1K/9K routers. It is essential to have a working knowledge of VMWare/xcp-ng deployment and implementation, Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Software Defined Network (SDN), Linux, scripting, and OpenStack administration. Any experience in network scripting and automation will be advantageous. You should possess advanced knowledge of MPLS and WAN technologies, L2 & L3 VPN, as well as network documentation and Visio skills. Basic project management skills are required, along with the ability to multitask and collaborate with multiple groups effectively. Your responsibilities will include building new DMZs for new applications hosted in the network data center, modifying DMZs based on customer requests, and handling application migrations that require updates to the network infrastructure. You will also be responsible for upgrading software on network elements with minimal downtime, bringing up new routers, switches, and load balancers according to standards, and ensuring compliance with network management systems. As an experienced Network Support Engineer at our leading generic medicines manufacturing company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our global network infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include providing network support for WAN, Campus LAN, Wireless, and Datacenter devices, along with hands-on troubleshooting experience in Routing Protocols EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP. You will be responsible for supporting network hardware platforms such as Cisco Nexus, Wireless (Cisco/Aruba), Riverbed, Cisco ACI, SDWAN, and F5 load balancers, while also offering level 3 support for network services and requests. In this role, you will be involved in the installation and upgradation of network hardware and software, proactively monitoring performance and availability, responding to critical network incidents, and taking ownership of tickets until resolution. Additionally, you will perform configuration changes and maintenance activities, as well as represent changes in CAB meetings. Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes will be essential for success in this position.
