Job Summary:

Network QA/Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze network traffic using

  Wireshark

  and other protocol analyzers to troubleshoot, identify, and document issues.
• Read and interpret various

  network protocols

  (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, etc.) to support test case creation and debugging.
• Design, develop, and execute

  manual and automated test cases

  for network devices and applications.
• Perform

  regression, functional, integration, and performance testing

  on networking systems and solutions.
• Use

  Linux

  for test environment setup, scripting, log analysis, and automation tasks.
• Collaborate with development and network engineering teams to reproduce, isolate, and resolve issues.
• Document test plans, results, bug reports, and technical notes.
• Validate firmware/software updates and network configuration changes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA and testing processes.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with

  Wireshark

  and packet-level network troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of

  network protocols

  and

  OSI model

  .
• Proficient in

  Linux

  command-line and shell scripting (Bash, Python preferred).
• Understanding of

  networking concepts

  at a

  CCNA level

  or higher (routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs, NAT, etc.).
• Experience with

  manual testing

  methodologies and

  automated test frameworks

  (e.g., Pytest, Robot Framework, Selenium, or custom tools).
• Familiarity with

  version control systems

  like Git.
• Experience working with networking hardware (switches, routers, access points) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent knowledge.
• Experience with

  test automation frameworks

  and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, VirtualBox) or containerization (Docker).
• Prior experience in telecom, network security, or embedded systems testing.
