The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing both manual and automated tests to ensure the performance, reliability, and security of our network and communication systems. Key Responsibilities: Analyze network traffic using Wireshark and other protocol analyzers to troubleshoot, identify, and document issues. Read and interpret various network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, etc.) to support test case creation and debugging. Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for network devices and applications. Perform regression, functional, integration, and performance testing on networking systems and solutions. Use Linux for test environment setup, scripting, log analysis, and automation tasks. Collaborate with development and network engineering teams to reproduce, isolate, and resolve issues. Document test plans, results, bug reports, and technical notes. Validate firmware/software updates and network configuration changes. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA and testing processes. Requirements: Strong hands-on experience with Wireshark and packet-level network troubleshooting. Solid understanding of network protocols and OSI model . Proficient in Linux command-line and shell scripting (Bash, Python preferred). Understanding of networking concepts at a CCNA level or higher (routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs, NAT, etc.). Experience with manual testing methodologies and automated test frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Robot Framework, Selenium, or custom tools). Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Experience working with networking hardware (switches, routers, access points) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong documentation and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent knowledge. Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, VirtualBox) or containerization (Docker). Prior experience in telecom, network security, or embedded systems testing.
